The NHS App already has a host of functions, including viewing test results, viewing notes. letters and consultations, updating your contact details, managing your upcoming GP appointments, access to a Health A-Z and using 111 Online to check your symptoms, and much more.
By 2028, the NHS App will function as the main digital front door for healthcare in England, where patients will be able to book appointments, manage medicines and view their data.
Accessing healthcare will be quicker than ever thanks to expanded features on the app. Patients will be able to manage their medicines, book vaccines from their phone, connect with a clinician for a remote consultation and even leave a question for a specialist to answer without making an appointment.
We want to support our patients with accessing and using the NHS App so they are not left behind and are ready for the exciting NHS App developments. We also want to be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the NHS App, for example, “Do I need a smartphone to access the NHS App” (The answer is “NO !”), or “Can a trusted family member or carer, with your consent, access the NHS App on my behalf ? (The answer is “YES !”).
Our Reception Team are always happy to answer any questions you may have about getting access to the NHS App, or how to use the NSH App once you have access.
We are also holding an NHS APP OPEN DAY 10am – 4pm ON WEDNESDAY 19th AUGUST. THERE IS NO NEED TO BOOK – PLEASE JUST COME ALONG TO THE PRACTICE WHER ONE OF OUR FRIENDLY TEAM WILL BE ON HAND TO DEMONSTRATE, VIA AN ELECTRONIC TABLET, THE BENEFITS OF NHS APP ACCESS. We will make sure we have the kettle on as well !
We look forward to seeing you.
